March has tumbled into April and with another few runs under my belt, I’ve decided not to keep numbering my runs as hopefully I’ll be doing too many to count by the time the 10k rolls around (really?). Again a new experience, running after a slightly late night (midnight is unheard of with 2 children under 5) on Saturday with husband and friends and feeling a little worse for wear on Sunday morning. I delayed my run until the afternoon and set off a bit quicker than normal – baseball cap and luminous running top included of course! American voice telling me how far I have run. Same route again – I’m now extremely bored of the sights (not even sights – just traffic and houses :() so definitely a change needed next time.
All fine on this one, I felt ok and speeded up (mainly because I was so bored of the route) and managed to shave 1 minute off my mile! Hooray! I did my 2.6 miles in 26 minutes – Happy days. My roast dinner was very well deserved that evening! My plan is to run along the front next time and see how far I can go – aiming for 5k.
