Being voted as one of the best races in the UK, we aim to be accessible to all, offering a variety of races so that all can get involved on the day! Our wheel chair race is open to all, and is a fun yet challenging race for those involved.
Being part of BWRA, our race is recognised as one of the few in the UK for wheelchair athletes. The BWRA is the governing body for wheelchair racing in Great Britain actively promoting participation, equality and governance for disabled people in this exiting sport on road and on track.
The Wheelchair Race will start 10 minutes prior to the main 10k race. We encourage athletes to get in touch in advance of the event to discuss needs and encourage athletes and coaches to review the course. Wheelchair athletes must wear crash helmets – this is compulsory.
