Our Official Water Partner – Princes Gate

September 15, 2023 By Georgia Rose

We are super proud to be the ‘Official Water Partner’ to the Admiral Swansea Bay 10k this year and what’s more, they’re just as recycling mad as us. A match made in heaven you might say.

If you didn’t know already, we sort of boss the recycling game here at Princes Gate. And we’re so very excited to be introducing a ‘closed loop’ supply to Admiral Swansea Bay 10k, with our bottles being made from 100% recycled and recyclable plastic.

Yes you read that right, a Princes Gate bottle made entirely from other bottles (excluding cap and label)

In case you don’t know already, we call this range ‘Our Greenest Bottle Ever’, because he really is just “All Green. No Mean”.

But we need your help, pretty please?!

So we’ll provide you with our lovely natural welsh mineral water to keep you all hydrated on the course, but we’ll also be providing some very snazzy recycling bins for you to put (or slam dunk if you wish!) them in when you’re done.

They’ll then be collected and given another life after the race. Cool, eh?!

Together, let’s keep Swansea clean during Admiral Swansea Bay 10k and YOU will become… (Queue drum roll please)

Give it a go! Entries open for 2023 Admiral Swansea Bay 10k

February 7, 2023 By Chris Williams

New entrants – along with existing runners – are being invited to get their entries in for the 2023 Admiral Swansea Bay 10k.

Organisers Swansea Council have already started putting up new-look banners with “Give it a go!” messages around the city.

The event will take place on Sunday, September 17.

It’ll be the 17th event that Admiral has sponsored, which, as well as the 10k, offers 1k and 3k junior fun runs, along with a 10k wheelchair race and a mascot race.

Council cabinet member Robert Francis-Davies said: “Thousands of people see their friends run the 10k, cheer them on at the event and then wish they’d given it a go too. It’d be great for those people to sign up this year and they still have more than seven months to train.

“We’ve had an excellent response to our early bird offer and we are expecting demand for places to be as high as usual.”

Rhian Langham, Head of People at Admiral, said, “We’re excited to be sponsoring the Admiral Swansea Bay 10k once again this year, with last year bringing thousands of people together to achieve their goals and cheer their loved ones on.”
